The traditional Carols by Candlelight held at Sky High Mount Dandenong has undergone a name change.
Carols by Torchlight will replace the traditional candlelight to eliminate any possible danger from open flames in The Dandenongs.
“The atmosphere will be equally spectacular with the lights from the torches mixed with the stunning sea of Melbourne’s city lights as a backdrop,’’  owner John Conellan said.
SkyHigh are proud to announce that world-renowned singer Annalisa Kerrigan will showcase Carols by Torchlight from 8.30 pm on Sunday December 19. She will perform with The Australian Youth Choir.
Among the numbers Ms Kerrigan will perform are Amazing Grace, Ave Maria and Joy to the World
She will perform solo and also with Australian Youth Choir whose accompaniment will complete the night.
The magnificent Sky High – Mt Dandenong boasting 360-degree panoramic views of Melbourne and beyond will be open before Carols by Torchlight for dinner or visitors are invited to bring a chair or picnic rug to set up on the front lawn of the lavishly redeveloped historic site.
Ms Kerrigan has received standing ovations from audiences in Italy, Ireland, Singapore, Vietnam and, of course, her native Australia.
She is best known to the public for her stirring renditions of Advance Australia Fair, performed at major sporting events including the Australian F1 Grand Prix, the AFL, ARL and ARU grand finals and Melbourne’s Spring Racing Carnival.
Her first album raced to the top of the charts in Australia and was top 10 for six weeks.
She has completed a tour 119 venues – large and small – across the country with her highly successful concert simply entitled ‘Ireland’.
