SkyHigh remains open but with new opening times and a few changes…
The safety and well-being of our guests and staff is our priority and we will take all necessary precautions to ensure their continued welfare. SkyHigh is open from 9.15am every day for site visits, spectacular views, food and drinks. Restaurant dinner seated meals will be available from Friday 6th November so please ensure you book in advance. Lunch and early evening casual seated dining is available from Monday 2nd November with no need to book, grab a table and order at the counter.
As with many businesses, we are actively monitoring the situation with regards the outbreak of Covid-19 coronavirus and are in regular contact with health authorities.
In line with the latest announcements from the Australian Federal Government with regard to further travel bans and indoor mass gatherings, we are closely monitoring capacity and the number of people in our attractions and we have also placed an immediate stop on some of our upcoming events.
We know a lot of people are feeling anxious about Coronavirus at the moment, so we want to reassure you that Victoria’s Chief Health Officer has said it is safe for parks and gardens to remain open, and remind you that they are here for you as a place to escape and enjoy nature, and help minimise any stress you may be feeling at the moment.
As an outdoor venue with plenty of fresh air, space and sunshine, the risk of Coronavirus remains low. SkyHigh is a great place for people to come and walk your dog or escape the confines of your home or apartment and pick up some food or drinks whilst you are here.
However, if you are unwell or have any flu-like symptoms, please prioritise your health and that of the community, rest up and visit SkyHigh in a few weeks time when you’re better.
To ensure you can practice safe social-distancing and remain 1.5m away from each other and allow 4m2 per person inside our venue,
The changes at SkyHigh include:
All immediate upcoming events have been cancelled and there are restrictions on indoor table dining.
All self serve waiter stations have been removed and we now only serve food and beverages directly to our customers.
All areas of the cafe and restaurant are regularly sanitised.
Indoor and outdoor spaces have had tables and chairs spaced out and seating restricted according to government legislation and the number of people sat at each table is also restricted. Tables and chairs will be sanitised before new customers are seated.
Doors will be propped open wherever possible to limit the number of door handles touched.
We ask customers to pay via tap and go rather than cash to limit the handling of cash by staff.
Places to get food and drink remain open and there are now three areas to dine to reduce the number of people waiting and increase our outdoor seating capacity.
For further information, please refer and adhere to the advice given by your local health authority, VIC Department of Health and Human Services. Click here for a copy of our full Covid19 safety plan.
Rest assured, we will continue to act quickly should we be required to do so and will take all necessary precautions to protect the welfare of our guests and staff. We ask all customers to supply contact details when they arrive via our QR codes, logging into our customer WiFi or by old fashioned pen and paper.
We ask all our guests to observe high standards of personal hygiene whilst visiting SkyHigh. There are simple things you can do to help prevent the spread of the virus, including:
Wear a face mask and avoid touching your mask
Covering your mouth and nose with a tissue or your sleeve (not your hands) when you cough or sneeze
Putting used tissues in the bin immediately (do not leave them for the SkyHigh staff to clear up)
Washing your hands with soap and hot water regularly, and using hand sanitiser gel
Avoid close contact with people who are unwell
Avoiding touching your eyes, nose or mouth if your hands are not clean.
Within SkyHigh, we have washrooms in the main building for guests and we politely ask that you use them regularly.
